How to Achieve Luscious Curls with Loxa Beauty

Beauty/ Hair

Did you know you can curl your hair with a straightener? It’s honestly the only way I know how to curl my hair. I’m not sure how I discovered the technique but I know I have been doing it since high school. I was recently sent this retro beach inspired CHI straightener from Loxa Beauty. IMG_3485
By using the CHI hair tool I am going to take you step by step and show you how to curl your hair with a straightener. Let’s get started!

IMG_3499STEP 1: Thoroughly brush your hair to get rid of any tangles. I like to us my Large Paddle Brush because it separates my hair well.

IMG_3500

STEP 2: Separate your hair into one inch sections starting at the hair closes to your face.

IMG_3501STEP 3: From your one inch section, separate the section in layers starting from the bottom. Clip the excess hair to the top of your head keeping it away from the section you just separated.

IMG_3504STEP 4: Spray your CHI 44 Iron Protector in a downward motion on the section only once. Smooth out the product on the hair and really lather it into your ends.

IMG_3505STEP 5: Grab your Ceramic Hairstyling Iron in one hand and the section of hair in the other. Clamp the hair in the straightener and begin to wrap the hair around the iron.

IMG_3506STEP 6: Roll the hair and straightener downward while slightly opening and closing the iron so the hair can move easily.

IMG_3507

STEP 7: Bring the iron down to the ends while turning the hair. Do not pull the hair but rather let the hair form a curl by loosely spiraling the iron.

IMG_3508This is how the hair should look when half-way completed curling your hair.

IMG_3509STEP 8: Once completed with the entire head go through the hair to fix any curls and to create more volume.

STEP 9: Your hair should still be warm at this point. Spray through your hair with the iron protector for long lasting curls.

IMG_3486Now you have luscious curls with a straightener. This CHI iron was so easy to use and the iron proctor kept my hair smooth despite the heat. Visit Loxa Beauty for all your hair product needs! They have an assortment of tools and styling items. How do you style your hair? Have you ever used a straightener to curl your hair? Share your story in the comments section.

Thanks so much for reading! xoxo

Hi Candice, what a nice beautifully laid-out tutorial on how to curl your hair.I guess in order to curl your hair, it has to be natural.I am wondering is it also possible to curl some Brazilian hair with a straightener?

You are such a doll babe! Love this step-by-step guide on how to curl hair with a straightener. I personally use a wand because that’s how my stylist taught me how to curl but I have definitely tried with my straightener too. I’ll keep your tips in mind the next time I do it and see how it turns out! Thanks for sharing babe <3 xo, sharon
