The Simplicity of Menswear

Fashion/ Style

The thought of buying clothes for someone else can be thrilling and stressful at the same time. Mostly because we love seeing the smile on our friend’s faces, but we do not always know what exactly to get them, or what they will even want. However, things are a little easier if the person you’re buying clothes for happens to be a man.

Choosing clothes for men, in my opinion, is a lot easier to do than picking out clothes for women. Ladies have all sorts of patterns and materials that can make it a bit tricky. Luckily when it comes to men, you are almost always guaranteed to see a smile on his face. Simply buying a shirt for your boyfriend is often enough to get him happy.img_2784

For starters, men do not have nearly as many options as females when it comes to clothing. They have their performance menswear, graphic tees, shorts, sweatpants, jeans, and different color options for short sleeved and long sleeved shirts. Most men have different styles for different days of the week and avoid complicating their wardrobe any further. Fair enough.

Men have their casual days where they do not do too much. Which, for days like that, you will want to make sure that he has enough clothing that he can relax in. Casual clothing can consist of a nice pair of jeans – no rips or discoloration – and a crisp, clean shirt. In fact a lot of people mistaken casual wear for “bum around” clothes or sportswear. However, men can need both outfits in the same day, as he goes to work and then hits the gym right afterwards.img_2785 img_2782

There are more options for men in casual wear than any other style of clothing. Women ought to take advantage of this if they are in a position to buy a man in their life some threads. Explore casual to find a wide array of options.

Depending on where we work, casual wear might only be an option on the weekend, not all the time. That means for the rest of the week we have to look your very best. There are levels of professional clothes that men in particular can wear. Slacks, dress shoes, and a button-up shirt is always a great gift idea for men who want to look their best. If you want to take it to the next level, you can always add a tie to the combination.img_2783 img_2786

If it is the middle of fall or winter, you may also consider buying the gentlemen something to keep them warm during the cold months. Such as a winter jacket, hats, or sweater. All of these things can be worn over your regular clothes, casual wear, sportswear, or work attire, and will not ruin the look since you can pull them right off when you need to.

As you can see, you have a list of clothing options that you can choose from to gift to a man in your life. If you’re lost and don’t know what to get, you can never go wrong with buying them casual clothes and they are guaranteed to be happy.

You are right for buying clothes are easy for men instead of women. I always buy some decent shirts and pants for men to give them but for women, I did something different. I said the to buy which she wants himself and I’ll pay for this whatever she wants to buy. It’s a direct method for me which helps me every time…

I really love that shirt! Men do seem to have fewer options than women in that menswear is often tradition driven but more designers are veering away from archetypal clothes giving men more choices in what to wear!

I agree that buying for men is definitely easier than buying for women. Especially when it comes to body shape for women – something that you might like, might look awful on you realistically!

Your style is flawless! I just love how pretty this outfit is, you’ve styled it perfectly. I like it when women wear menswear. It’s empowering, if that makes sense.

I’d like my hubby to wear a waistcoat with his suit as I think they are fab but he says his office is too hot. Shame!

Men have it much easier than we do when it comes to clothes, don’t they? I have a son and a daughter and you can guess which one has the bigger wardrobe already (they’re 10 and 8). I love your outfit.

You look fabulous, it’s so classy and chic but also falls into an ‘everyday look’ category.

That outfit looks beaut on you, and that backdrop is amazing!!
You’re right about menswear and how they don’t seem to have so much variety as we do. I think this with my sons too, there is always so much more choice in the girls’ sections!!

There really is something about menswear isn’t there. I love how you have put together this outfit, it’s classy but casual, stylish but it looks comfy!

    God I LOVE this outfit!
I definitely do think men have it easier – which is somewhat good for buying gifts. I do however think we’re slowly moving towards wider options for men. Maybe not so much in the workwear sense but definitely in the casual/night out sense. Maybe that’s just how it is here in the UK though. Lots of new cuts, accessories and unexpected colours available on the highstreet for summer.
